A quote I’m pondering
The best armour of old age is a well spent life preceding it; a life employed in the pursuit of useful knowledge, in honourable actions and the practice of virtue; in which he who labours to improve himself from his youth, will in age recap the happiest fruits of them; not only because these never leave a man, not even in the extremest [sic] old age; but because conscience bearing witness that our life was well-spent, together with the remembrance of past good actions, yields an unspeakable comfort to the soul.

An insight from conversation
In order to make change, we need feedback. But not all feedback is created equal.
Here are three questions that can help:
- Who or what is a valuable source of feedback? This could be from a subject matter expert, coach, AI, wearable tech or self reflection.
- Can I tighten the feedback loop? More feedback, faster, means more course corrections. On a compounding curve, this accelerates progress and reduces the impact of setbacks.
- How can I make the feedback visible? This might be a dashboard, a tab open or a daily ritual that can surface the feedback you need.
An action I’m taking
As I plan my week ahead, I’m reviewing the tasks and projects and asking myself a question: “Am I chasing mice or hunting antelope?”
It’s a great analogy for the never ending tension we all face between the ever present minutiae and aligning our focus and activity with the big priorities that can truly move the dial.
Which are you hunting today?

Is there one of these that really stood out for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions whether that’s a favourite quote or something else.
I hope you have a great week ahead.
With love,
