Hi there,
Happy Monday!
Here is your weekly dose of The Monday 3: a quote, an insight and an action I’m taking.
There are 4 days left to book tickets for my High Performance Decision Making event on the 12th of June. It’s in the afternoon from 2:30-5pm >>

A quote I’m pondering
“What day is it?” asked Pooh.
“It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.
“My favorite day,” said Pooh.

An insight from conversation
When the world around us seems to be coming at us from multiple angles, we often get caught on trying to solve each of them individually. Sometimes shifting the focus from external to internal, from the world around us to the person in the mirror, can help to solve them all at once. Or, at the very least, provide a centre of calmness and choice in a storm.
An action I’m taking
I love a good hug. Growing up my sisters were relentless teachers for my brother and I on the art of the hug: “Stand still.” “Don’t squash me.” “More firmly.” “No – arms right around.” “Not side on.” As they say, feedback is a gift…
I’ve been practicing that advice for a long time and now I’m experimenting with 7 second hugs. There’s something magical that happens at around the 5 second mark where both people really relax into it. If you try this, make sure you pick your audience 🙂

Is there one of these that really stood out for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions whether that’s a favourite quote or something else.
I hope you have a great week ahead.
With love,
Toby
