Hi there,
Happy Monday!
Here’s your weekly dose of The Monday 3: a quote, an insight and an action I’m taking.
With love,
Toby

A quote I’m pondering
This day will never come again and anyone who fails to eat and drink and taste and smell it will never have it offered to them again in all eternity. The sun will never shine as it does today.
Hermann Hesse – Nobel prize winning poet and novelist – Klingsor’s Last Summer
An insight
Our minds are storytellers, not historians.
Your mind doesn’t have perfect recall of events. Not the truth. Not wholly right. Not wholly wrong.
The stories you tell yourself, “good” or “bad”, can hugely influence your behaviour.
Just remember: Your mind isn’t always kind. Your mind isn’t always helpful.
Is there a story you’ve been holding onto that may no longer serve you?
An action I’m taking
I write as a way to reflect. I write as a way to process thoughts and experiences. I write as a way to find clarity.
My bench mark for writing is that it must be useful to me even if no one else ever reads it.

Is there one of these that really stood out for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions, whether that’s a favourite quote or something else.
I hope you have a great week ahead.
With love,
Toby
