Hi there,

Happy Monday!

Here’s your weekly dose of The Monday 3: a quote, an insight and an action I’m taking.

With love,

Toby

A quote I’m pondering

The greatest sources of our suffering are the lies we tell ourselves.

An insight

In times of major change, it can be tempting to be introspective doing personality profiles, career path finders, strengths assessments, seeking feedback and opinions from others, making space to think, to get away…

While these are important and can be useful, they can easily become procrastination. By gathering more data, you can feel as if you’re doing something to solve the problem.

But there comes a time when more thinking, more consideration, more data won’t help.

Sooner or later your only path to change is action.

An action I’m taking

To develop mindfulness, I’m practicing noticing my thoughts/feelings/sensations – whether they are “good” or “bad” – and saying to myself: “Thank you mind.”

Is there one of these that really stood out for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions whether that’s a favourite quote or something else.

I hope you have a great week ahead.

With love,

Toby
