A quote I’m pondering

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.

John Muir

An insight from conversation

In a work setting, whether we’re negotiating a nine figure transaction, a new job interview or a business acquisition, one of the most important things we can have is internal clarity about our long game (including values and purpose), who is important, what is important and what we will and won’t compromise on.

An action I’m taking

I’m using data from a Whoop band to track the impact of different activities, nutrition, recovery, sleep etc. It’s been a fun experiment that is helping me join the dots of everything I do to manage my energy.

While the feedback doesn’t always align with my lived experience, it’s helping me see patterns. In terms of recovery, the two activities that move the needle the most for me, perhaps unsurprisingly, are 10 min cold baths (9 degrees) and a basic 11 min Wim Hof breath work exercise (Youtube).

Is there one of these that really stood out for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions whether that’s a favourite quote or something else.

I hope you have a great week ahead.

With love,

Toby
