Hi there,
Happy Monday!
Here is your weekly dose of The Monday 3: a quote, an insight and an action I’m taking.
I’m in my last 4 days of fundraising for homelessness. I’ll be sleeping rough with the Vinnies CEO Sleepout at The Gabba here in Brisbane this Thursday night.
If you can support in any way I’d really appreciate it.

A quote I’m pondering
Boredom and disappointment… might be places where we can learn something unique. If you keep getting boredom out of the way with Wordle, or whatever else you distract yourself with, you lose the possibility of your threshold of interest falling so low that you can notice a tiny thing.

An insight from conversation
Ah surfing is a gift.
Could there be a better place than a windless, crystal clear morning immersed in the pacific ocean for friends to talk about Zen concepts of relative vs ultimate realities?
Relative reality is what I’m experiencing right now – the highs, the lows, the stresses, the detail.
Ultimate reality is understanding what is important in the long term.
By reconnecting to what truly matters and then reframing that relative, immediate reality in that broader, longer term context we can make choices right now that align to our long game.
So often millennia old traditions have found solutions that modern science, like psychological flexibility, are validating in controlled experiments and repeatable processes to help us work with the depth of the human condition.
An action I’m taking
I’ll be sleeping rough at The Gabba to raise money and awareness for homelessness. If you can donate, every dollar counts: https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/fundraisers/tobyjenkins

Is there one of these that really stood out for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions whether that’s a favourite quote or something else.
I hope you have a great week ahead.
With love,
Toby
