Hi there,
Happy Monday!
Here’s your weekly dose of The Monday 3: a quote, an insight and an action I’m taking.

A quote I’m pondering
True story, Word of Honor: Joseph Heller, an important and funny writer now dead, and I were at a party given by a billionaire on Shelter Island. I said, “Joe, how does it make you feel to know that our host only yesterday may have made more money than your novel ‘Catch-22’ has earned in its entire history?” And Joe said, “I’ve got something he can never have.” And I said, “What on earth could that be, Joe?” And Joe said, “The knowledge that I’ve got enough.” Not bad! Rest in peace!

An insight
Forgiveness is not forgetting. It doesn’t mean forgetting the experience or the lessons from it.
Forgiveness is not an event. It’s a process – the memory may return and you may need to forgive again. And again. And again.
Forgiveness is not only of other people. Sometimes it’s you in the mirror that needs to forgive yourself the most.
An action I’m taking
To paraphrase the legendary musician, producer and pioneer of ambient music, Brian Eno: Music is not something we listen to, but a place we go.
With this idea in mind, it shapes how I use music in workshops, when I’m coaching sport and at home to set tone, mood and to help create the right environment at the right time.
