Hi there,
Happy Monday!
Here’s your weekly dose of The Monday 3: a quote, an insight and an action I’m taking.

A quote I’m pondering
Vision without execution is hallucination.
Thomas Edison
An insight
I shared my favourite Olympic inspiration story in a podcast interview (jump to 5:01 to hear it). It was when a senior player showing faith in me when I needed it most.
He saw the interview and reached out. It was an awesome conversation about the slow and gradual development of appreciation for the effort put in and the outcomes while tempered by the acceptance of both the highs and the lows that have shaped who we are.
An action I’m taking
According to the Enneagram personality test, pride is the emotion I’ve felt least comfortable experiencing in my life.
I’d agree with that because pride was something I’d historically associated with big noting myself.
But it’s been liberating to open up and begin to make room for a sense of pride in past effort and accomplishment. To acknowledge and accept both the good and the bad is important for me to see a future path for greater contribution from a place of that acceptance.

Is there one of these that really stood out for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions whether that’s a favourite quote or something else.
I hope you have a great week ahead.
With love,
Toby
